Fedeli: Premier can't dodge Sudbury bribe allegations

Nipissing MPP Vic Fedeli says Premier Kathleen Wynne can’t escape the bribery scandal in Sudbury.  Last week Ontario’s chief electoral officer found that high ranking Liberals offered a bribe to clear the way in the Sudbury by-election.  Fedeli says the findings are black and white and adds this is one bullet Wynne can’t dodge.  Fedeli is hopeful that charges and convictions result from the incident so that people think twice of trying to pull a similar stunt.   So far Wynne has refused to suspend her deputy chief of staff, Pat Sorbara after the report came out.   Sorbara is one of two people named in the report.  But he believes the Premier will have no choice but to let her go as well as Sudbury Liberal heavyweight Gerry Lougheed Junior as the Opposition parties continue to press the issue.   Fedeli also believes Lougheed should step down as chair of the Sudbury Police Services Board otherwise he’ll drag down the board.  Meanwhile, Fedeli has also learned that since becoming public last week, the chief electoral officer’s report has been handed over to federal prosecutors for their analysis.
