A local area club and their ladies auxiliary has won first place in a provincial membership competition.
Auxiliary member, Joan Leeson, says both the Webbwood Aerie #4629 men and the auxiliary received awards this week for taking first place in the Ontario Provincial Eagles Membership Challenge.
She adds the men increased their membership by 180%, the women by 172% and now have over 100 members.
Adding to the win, long-time member Betty Fairbairn also received the Auxiliary’s Mother of the Year Award for her years of contributing to the organization.
