The Great Walk About

A young man is heading west today raising money for diabetes.

Nova Scotia born Jeff Laybolt started “The Great Walk About” on March 1st.
Laybolt says his goal for the 10-month journey across Canada is to raise $10,000 for Diabetes Canada to go towards research and raising awareness about the disease.

Starting out from Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, he is now west of Espanola and hopes to be in Sault Ste. Marie by August 30th.

So far, he has raised $5,459 and is hoping to reach his goal by the time he reaches British Columbia in December.
