Measles exposure update

Some people in Elliot Lake may have been exposed to measles.  The exposures would have taken place at the E.R. at St. Joseph’s Hospital on four separate occasions.  The first time would have been February 5th and then the very next day, followed by February 11th and the 13th.   Algoma Public Health adds all the exposures would have come during daytime visits to emergency.  The health unit wants you to check to see if you’ve been immunized at some point for measles and to also call the health unit.  The health advisory follows confirmation that a child has come down with measles in the community and was in the hospital E.R.
