A case of measles has been confirmed in Elliot Lake. The confirmation comes from Algoma Public Health and involves a child. What’s more, members of the public may have been exposed. The exposure would have occurred at three separate times in the E. R. at St. Joseph’s Hospital. The most recent time is February 13th during the day. Other exposure days would have taken place February 5th and 6th again during the day. The health unit says check to see if you have ever been immunized and you should also call Algoma Public Health for an assessment.
