In Sudbury some people have used social media to wrongly accuse a resident of animal abuse. And it’s taken Sudbury police to set the record straight. Police say a dog found in an emaciated state and weighing only 23 pounds is in fact improving. The Sudbury person who has the dog now has its weight up to 40 pounds and had nothing to do with the animal’s earlier condition. The abused dog is named Duke and was from New Jersey before it was adopted in Sudbury. The Animal Alliance of New Jersey rescued the dog before putting it up for adoption.
