Visitation and funeral arrangements are now in place for Vyrn Peterson of Blind River who passed away on Tuesday. Visitations are next Wednesday at the Legion Hall from noon to 2:00 p.m.  That’s followed by a Celebration of Life at 3:00 p.m.  Meanwhile the various organizations Peterson belonged to, in this case the Lions, Legion and Masons, will hold their own services between 2:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. after visitations end.  Peterson was a long-time councillor and also served as mayor during the early 1990s. He was involved with numerous groups including air cadets and the Shrine Club and he loved curling. He was the owner of Peterson Welding on Highway 17. Out of respect to Peterson the Town Hall is flying its flag at half mast.
