The Township of NEMI received some funding to complete road construction in Little Current.
Road reconstruction is now slated for the central part of the town with over $2 million in Connecting Link funds being provided to the community by the provincial government.
The funding will see Phase 3 of a 20-year project come to completion.
Road work will be completed from Hilltop Shell gas station to the recreation centre on Manitowaning Road and from the fire hall at the corner of Meredith Street to the Ministry of Transportation yard along Highway 540.
The funding will also cover new storm sewers between Sim and Walcot streets.
