Sudbury OPP charge driver after two commercial motor vehicles collide

One lane of Highway 69 was shut down to clean up a diesel spill following a collision at a busy intersection.

Sudbury OPP Constable Michelle Coulombe say yesterday morning, a southbound dump truck drove through a red light striking a 5-ton truck entering the intersection from Provincial Government Offices Road.
She adds a 31 year-old from Noëlville has been charged with failing to stop for a red light.

The driver of the 5-ton was transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries while the driver of the dump truck was not injured.

One northbound lane was closed for the day while workers completed the clean-up of a diesel spill.
