There could be a micro cannabis processing facility opening in the industrial park in Elliot Lake.

Local businessman Adam White says he has obtained his Certificate of Readiness letter from the government and is now in the process of obtaining capital to satisfy the demands set out by Health Canada.

White adds the facility would create a minimum of 15 jobs.

He is also working with two local business corporations: ELNOS and the Community Futures Development Corporation.

White hopes to begin construction by early fall.

Anyone wanting to know more about the proposed operation, the legal process and/or seeking to support the project, can contact White at 705-227-0171.
