The Rainbow District School Board says it has come in with a balanced budget of $203.1 million for the 2019-2020 school year.
Board chair, Doreen Dewar says they will need approval to consolidate some schools in the New Sudbury and Valley North area from the Ministry of Education so the board will be well positioned to align expenditures with revenues going forward.
The board is projecting an enrolment of 12,900 students this fall.
Rainbow District School Board operates nine secondary school and 32 elementary school buildings in Sudbury, Espanola, and Manitoulin Island.
