Torch Run weaves its way through the North Shore corridor

Several enthusiasts came out to support the Annual Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics.

Last Friday, the torch made its way from Wiikwemikoong to Mindemoya on Manitoulin Island, north to Espanola, and west to Elliot Lake and Blind River.

Participants ran to raise money for Special Olympics.

A final tally is not available, but it is believed well over $10,000 was raised from the local area alone.
