The principal of W. C. Eaket Secondary in Blind River has retired. The Algoma school board honoured Shelia Nyman for her teaching and administrative career. Nyman got into teaching in 1987 with the former North Shore Board of Education. She left for a four year period for Southern Ontario but then came back to Blind River as a geography teacher at Eaket. She spent time in Wawa and at Blind River Public before becoming the VP and then principal of Eaket seven-and-a-half years ago.
