Pet Valu Walk for Guide Dogs held in Espanola

It was a perfect, sunny day for a walk in Espanola to help raise funds for a good cause.

Espanola Pet Valu owner, Rachel Huard, says just under $700 was raised by participants in the Pet Valu Walk for Guide Dogs this past Sunday.

Huard adds that total will be much higher because they sell bandanas throughout the year with all the proceeds going to the Guide Dog program.

Last year, they came 10th overall across Canada.

The program provides Guide Dogs trained for various challenges from blindness to diabetes and are provided free to Canadians in need.
