A couple from Kapuskasing and a teen from Walden have been identified as the deceased in a fatal motor accident on Highway 7 on Monday afternoon.
75-year-old Jacques Dandenault and his passenger, 73-year-old Pierrette Dandenault both from Kapuskasing were pronounced dead at the scene.
18-year-old Tyler Carter from Walden was also pronounced dead at the scene.
A 44-year-old passenger was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The collision between the two vehicles took place on Highway 17 about 10 kilometers west of Nairn Centre.
Highway 17 was closed in both directions for approximately six hours
The investigation is continuing.
