An Espanola cadet has won a big award from the Marine Club. Chief Petty Officer Pascal Gravelle is the recipient of the group’s Gold Medal in Proficiency. The award was made at the Marine Club’s annual dinner in Toronto. The organization encourages young people to consider marine and naval sector life. Pascal is a past winner of the Medal of Excellence which recognizes his work with the Navy League of Canada and the Royal Canadian Sea Cadet movement. In addition to his Marine Club award, the group also gave Pascal a bursary cheque, an engraved watch and plaque.
