Traffic stop nets thousands in drugs

On May 26th an officer from the Espanola OPP was conducting a traffic stop with his emergency lights activated, when another vehicle failed to move over for the police vehicle. The officer located that vehicle and conducted a stop.  The officer detected a strong smell of cannabis within the vehicle.  A search of the vehicle resulted in a quantity of cannabis resin and cash.  The estimated street value of the seized items is over $10,000.  A 50-year old from Miscouche, Prince Edward Island is facing a variety of charges including failure to move for an emergency vehicle and possession for the purpose of trafficking.
