More remains have been found following an extensive search in the Nelson Lake Road area.
Greater Sudbury Police communications co-ordinator Kaitlyn Dunn says a human skull was found on Saturday leading to an extensive grid ground search by police and North Shore Search and Rescue over the last two days.
Dr. Scott Fairgrieve from the Centre of Forensic Science was also on the scene yesterday where a human skull was located on Saturday.
Dunn says the search yielded additional human bones, which have been turned over to the Coroner’s Office and the centre to carry out additional tests to determine the identity of the individual and the cause of death.
A post-mortem is scheduled for tomorrow.
