A ribbon cutting was held for the re-opening of Blind River’s Timber Village Museum at its new location.
Blind River Mayor Sally Hagman, Rotary Club President Ross Jensen, and museum Curator Ashley Young cut the ribbon opening the museum at the Blind River Marina on Sunday.
The original museum building located just off Highway 17 was condemned, so it took about a month to move all the contents to their new location.
The main building also houses an art gallery, gift shop and dining area, and is wheel-chair accessible.
Algoma-Manitoulin MPP, Mike Mantha, assisted with the event and Algoma-Manitoulin-Kapuskasing MP, Carol Hughes, sent words of congratulations.
The original museum was a Centennial project, which originally opened in 1967.
