There will be no live-streaming or videotaping in Sables-Spanish Rivers Township for the time being.
Councillor Glenda Massicotte says council decided that with the Internet at the municipal office not meeting the requirements to live stream, council decided they would not install it for now.
She adds they were also equipment from the Town of Espanola would be available for trial, but it had many glitches.
She adds there was no motion, just an informal discussion, but council is continuing to look into different equipment and funding options to eventually, get the service in place.
A petition signed by over 130 residents was presented to council earlier this Spring asking for the service to be implemented.
