Dave Williamson of Manitoulin Island will run in the Algoma-Manitoulin-Kapuskasing riding as the Conservative Party candidate.
Williamson was acclaimed last week and endorsed by national party leader Andrew Scheer.
The Chief Administrative Officer for the Town of Northeastern Manitoulin and Islands, with a strong background in business and management, Williamson says he will work every day to help the residents of the riding get ahead, not just get by.
With Williamson’s nomination, the Conservative Party now has over 270 candidates in the upcoming October federal election.
