There are not too many years, rooster tails are seen at the Webbwood Falls in Espanola, but this year is different.
The dam is wide open and the Spanish River is high, however, creating wide arches of water.
Jan Martin, with Domtar’s Media and Community Relations, says the river flow is high due to normal snow melt and occasional rain.
She adds the Espanola dam is functioning properly and they have no issues.
The dam also provides the link to the rail system to move product, so its role is critical for operations.
