Flowers will be laid at the memorial at Domtar’s Espanola Mill honouring the Day of Mourning.
Local Unifor president, Joanne Lamothe, says she, other union reps and some employees will be there at 11:00am on Sunday.

Lamothe adds the flag will also fly at half-mast to remember those who have lost their lives from fatalities or occupational disease in the workplace.

Meanwhile, in Elliot Lake, seven new names will be unveiled on the Miner’s Memorial Monument this Sunday, also at 11:00am.

The public is invited to attend both events.
