Elliot Lake Pride Committee members will be updating city council about its plans for the Seventh Annual Elliot Lake Pride Festival.
Committee members will meet with city council this evening to ask for support to fly Pride flags at city hall beginning with a flag-raising ceremony at city hall on May 24th.
There will also be flag raisings in Blind River, Spanish, Serpent River First Nation and the Township of the North Shore.
The weekend will feature the popular Pride Parade, barbecue, the Miss Conception pageant and church service.
The Pride Festival will get underway the night of May 23rd and the final event of the weekend is a church service on the 25th.
