Victoria, a precocious, out-going and out-spoken seven-year-old character is the brain child of author, Kathy Carre of Espanola.
Carre created the character some 20 years ago to teach life lessons to little ones when she worked as an educational assistant.
Following retirement, she decided to resurrect the character, released the book, Victoria and the Secret Umbrella, and also sent her story about being an author to the Canadian magazine, More of Our Canada.
Her story, Realizing the Dream in Retirement, will be featured in the May 2019 issue.
And she is now working on book number two, ‘Victoria Hurts Whitney Baker’s Feelings’, a story that helps kids deal with jealousy.
