Espanola police have released R.I.D.E. numbers and for the most part it’s very good news. During the campaign over Christmas, Espanola police did not charge anyone for impaired. That’s after stopping 661 vehicles. Although no one was dinged with impaired, seven drivers were cautioned for Highway Traffic Act offenses. The Espanola numbers are in stark contrast to R.I.D.E. results from the OPP who laid quite a few impaired driving charges across the province. Espanola police are thanking residents for doing their part to reduce impaired driving over the holiday season.
