An inquest into the deaths of two men who died while operating groomers has been called by Dr. David Cameron, the Regional Supervising Coroner for Inquests.
Fifty-eight-year old Henry Meekis, died on December 23rd, 2012, and fifty-two-year old Harold McDonald, died on January 6th, 2013, in separate incidents when their grooming machines broke through ice and fell into lakes in the Northern region.
The inquest will examine the circumstances surrounding their demise with possible recommendations made by the jury to prevent similar deaths.
