Elliot Lake city council has approved the purchase of not two, but three new Blue Bird buses and will also be utilizing the Arboc bus that is coming in.
Councilor Chris Patrie urged his fellow council members to purchase three new Bluebird buses for a total cost of around $270,400 plus tax, rather than just the two that had been recommended.
The funding is coming from reserves for the vehicles, which are also wheel-chair accessible.
A fourth bus, the Arboc, will arrive later this year to round out the fleet.
