Elliot Lake’s Public Works Director, Darryl Halloch, will be talking to council about the purchase of two new buses.
The city bought two Arboc buses in 2015 and 2016, but they have already had to be pulled from service because of major frame deterioration.
The Public Services Committee supports Halloch’s recommendation that the city purchases two 26-foot Mirco Bird conventional Girardin Blue Bird buses under section 7 of the city’s Emergency Method Procurement Policy.
Council will be making that decision tomorrow evening.
