The Town of Espanola could have an Espanola Economic Development Corporation in place in the near future.
Last month, the town hosted public consultations on establishing the corporation with the idea being to help develop and grow municipal assets and look at ways to grow the town economically.
The board would be made up of the mayor, one councilor and up to five people from the community at large.
Council also has a motion on the table to approve pulling $50,000 from reserves to establish the corporation and develop the framework for the new entity.
Council is expected to make the decision when members meet Tuesday night at 7:00pm.
