Doing something you love and getting acknowledged for it is like icing on the cake … that is the case for a Manitoulin Island couple who have been avidly promoting cycling.
The 11th Annual Ontario Bike Summit was held this weekend in Toronto and part of the agenda included accolades for promoters and enthusiasts.
Guy and Maja Mielonen of Mindemoya received the Organization of the Year Award as part of the Wheels of Change circuit.
The two received the accolades for building a strong cycling community while welcoming cyclists to Manitoulin Island.
