New student trustees elected to the CSCNO board

Two student trustees have been elected to represent the students on the Conseil scolaire catholique du Nouvel-Ontario.

Katelyn Trivers, a grade 10 student at Jeunesse-Nord in Blind River will represent the Algoma and Manitoulin districts and Mathieu Simon, a grade 10 student at École secondaire catholique l’Horizon in Val Caron) will represent the Sudbury District.
Board president, André Bidal, says the student trustees hold an important role in the promotion of French Catholic Education and are a veritable asset to the Board in sharing student concerns.

I have full confidence that Katelyn and Mathieu will fulfill their duties as student representatives for the board, as well as the board’s student senate, adds Director of Education, Lyse-Anne Papineau.

Their two-years terms will start on August 1st.
