A three year strategy is being created for the northeast to help reduce falls among seniors. Studies show many seniors end up in the hospital as the result of falling. The Northeast Local Health Integration Network is working with the region’s five health units to try and change this with the multi-year strategy. The Stay on Your Feet plan is now being rolled out in the form of exercise classes across the northeast. Go to the Northeast LHIN website for more information.
