Elliot Lake Mayor Dan Marchisella is sporting colourful nails this week, purple that is.
He and MP Carol Hughes were at Our Lady of Fatima School yesterday to have their nails done at the invitation of student, Matteo DiGenova, who has a brother with epilepsy.
Matteo addressed council the night before explaining what epilepsy is and its symptoms.
Mayor Marchisella and council then passed a motion declaring March 25th to 31st as Epilepsy Awareness Week, and as part of the proclamation, he, Hughes, and family and students are sporting the official bright purple of the campaign this week.
