NDP question high northern gas prices

Two northern provincial New Democrats want the Liberals to equalize gas prices in the province.  Although prices have come down with the falling price of oil, Mike Mantha of Algoma Manitoulin says the north still pays way more for gas than the south does.  At 84 cents a litre, North Bay gas is on par with Ottawa and Toronto, but that’s where cheap gas ends except in Sturgeon Falls where it sells for 89 cents a litre.  Gas goes for a buck a litre in Timmins and Kapuskasing, it’s 96 cents in Sudbury, 94 cents in Espanola and 98 cents in Elliot Lake.  Nickel Belt MPP France Gelinas has been circulating a petition that would force the Ontario Energy Board to monitor gas prices.
