A new arm of municipal government to focus on economic development is being formed in Espanola.
Espanola Mayor Jill Beer says a new business corporation will assist in helping develop initiatives for economic growth in Espanola.
The first step is underway with a business case study being carried out that includes public comment.
Comments will be accepted until March 27th.
Beer adds following that process, a council will be established.

Beer says eventually, a committee will be formed made up of herself, a councilor and five members of the public, preferably those with business leadership experience.
Copies of the business case study are available at the municipal office.
