Threats against school on social media leads to arrest

Greater Sudbury City Police have arrested a teenager following online threats against a school.

Communications Coordinator, Kaitlyn Dunn, says last night, police arrested an 18-year old man from Greater Sudbury following a threatening post on Instagram.

The post was uploaded under account “sch00lsh00ter767”, pictured firearms and made reference to a school shooting at College Notre-Dame, as well as an additional post under the account “CND KILL LIST”.

Dunn adds the post was captioned “Friday March 22nd, everyone will finally know my name… Look out CND”.
The account and post have since been deleted and the man has been charged with criminal harassment and uttering threats.

He will be in bail court today.
