The vice-principal of Little Current Public School is now principal at Assiginack Public School. Maria Bouwmeester started teaching in Toronto before heading a bit more north. She has taught almost every elementary school grade and served in several other positions including librarian. She took two years off from teaching to serve as a local officer for the Elementary Teachers Federation of Ontario.
