GET YOUR ICE HUTS OFF … BE WARY OF SLUSHY CONDITIONS

Yesterday around 10pm, the Ontario Provincial Police Sudbury (Warren) Detachment members responded to three male snowmobilers stuck in slush on Lake Nipissing. The men were found about ten kilometers from shore, they sustained no injuries but were very wet and cold.
The OPP is recommending that snowmobilers stay off the lakes. With all the rain recently the lakes are very slushy making it difficult to travel.
As well, TIME TO GET THE ICE HUTS OFF THE ICE: The Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry is reminding anglers that many lakes across the province have significant slush conditions.
