Jack Talks: Youth talk to youth about mental health

Students will focus on mental health at two local area secondary schools.

Manitoulin Secondary and Espanola High will host guest speakers Ashley Quackenbush and Yasseen Tasabehji from Jack.org, an organization that helps youth with questions about mental health or are seeking help.

Guest speaker Ashley Quackenbush, also known as DJ Scratchely Q, hails from Manitoulin Island and as the director of music and official DJ for Worth Living, she uses her personal journey and knowledge of mental health to help end stigma.
Yasseen was born and raised in Damascus, Syria and moved to Canada at the age of 17.
He uses concepts of happiness and empowerment to make the world a brighter place.

The presentations take place today at the schools.
