Child pornography charges laid against a Sudbury personality

A 32-year-old Sudbury man was arrested and charged Wednesday, February 13 with multiple child pornography related offences.

Police communications coordinator, Kaitlyn Dunn says the Greater Sudbury Police Service’s Cyber Crime Unit identified Callam Rodya, a reporter at MCTV, who was allegedly downloading child pornography using a file sharing site between October 2018 and February 2019.

She adds police executed a search warrant Wednesday at a city residence and allegedly located evidence on multiple computers, as well as a small baggy suspected to contain cocaine.

As a result of the investigation, Rodya has been charged with three counts each of possession of child pornography, accessing child pornography, making available child pornography and one count of possession.
