Son charged in murder of dad

OPP in Blind River say a man who was murdered Saturday evening in the community was the father of the accused.  Police have identified the dead man as 69-year-old John Hammond of Blind River.  His 18-year-old son is charged with first degree murder.  Police say there was an altercation between father and son resulting in the older man being rushed to hospital where he was pronounced dead.  Information on how he died has not been released.
