Skills Ontario is hosting Cardboard Boat Races for AB Ellis Public School elementary students.
The races will be held next Wednesday at the Espanola Regional Recreation Complex.
These races bring education, hands-on experience, and teamwork together, and promote career opportunities in the skilled trade and technology sectors to young Ontarians.Â
Sponsored by 3M and Norampac Cascades, students bring their problem-solving, teamwork, and design skills as they create cardboard boats for races and weight challenges.
The best times to take it all in: 9:30 am – 11:00 am for Boat Construction and 12:30 pm – 2:30 pm for Races and Weight Bearing Challenges.
