Woman dies after SUVs collide near Whitefish

Sudbury police continue to investigate a collision in Walden that took the life of a 31-year-old woman.

Police are asking anyone who saw the crash to call them.

The vehicles collided just before 7:30am Friday on Municipal Road 55 east of Whitefish.

The victim succumbed to her injuries on Saturday.

Her name is not being released at the request of the family.

Meanwhile, on Manitoulin Island, OPP officers investigated two single-vehicle rollovers both just hours apart on Friday.

The first took place around 10:30amM on Highway 540 in Billings and resulted in minor injuries to the driver and passenger.

Then just before 2:00pmanother vehicle rolled over, in this case on Highway 542 in Carnarvon Township.

The driver suffered minor injuries.
