The “Capture our Community” street banner contest in Espanola had locals submitting designs to replace the Invest Local banners for the downtown and Highway 6 corridor.
Espanola Mayor, Ron Piche, says the winners of the banner contest are Merle Canjar’s water colour, Kelli Hill’s acrylic and photography and Shylene Lingenfelter’s photography.
Piche adds the winning designs will be produced locally at OJ Graphix and will be hung this coming spring.
Just over 390 people voted for the winning designs at this year’s Pumpkin Festival in October.
