Elliot Lake man arrested for robbery dating back to the summer

On Wednesday, November 21st at approximately 11:42 a.m., members from the East Algoma Ontario Provincial Police Crime Unit arrested a male in relation to a robbery at a residence on Hergott Avenue in the City of Elliot Lake.
On August 1st, 2018, police responded to a home invasion call on Hergott Avenue. The home owner reported somebody breaking into his house, spraying him with bear mace, and stealing various items.  After an extensive investigation, police arrested the male.
The 25-year-old from Elliot Lake has been charged with:
Robbery with Weapon; Administer Noxious Thing; Possession of Weapon Contrary to Prohibition Order; Disguise with Intent; Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose, and Break and Enter.
The accused appeared before the Ontario Court of Justice Bail Court in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario on November 22, 2018.
