Numerous charges for Elliot Lake man after domestic dispute

On Thursday, November 22nd, at approximately 1:00 p.m., members of the East Algoma Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a domestic dispute related call at a residence on St. Laurent Place in the City of Elliot Lake, Ontario.
Investigation revealed that a male and female in the residence had been arguing over his alcohol consumption. The male was currently on conditions to not consume alcohol. The male had assaulted and threatened the female.
The 42 year old male from Elliot Lake, Ontario was arrested and charged with
Uttering Threats – Cause Death or Bodily Harm (two counts),  Assault (two counts) and Forcible Confinement.
The accused appeared before the Ontario Court of Justice Bail Court in Blind River, Ontario on November 23, 2018.
The OPP will not be releasing the name in order to protect the identity of the alleged victim.
