Espanola hospital launching petition campaign for more funding

Support for long-term care from the Ontario government is of vital importance.

Lee Turley, the Director of Long-Term Care at the Espanola hospital says the Ontario Long-Term Care Association is collecting signatures to advocate for additional resources.

He says this year’s goal is to advocate for eliminating unnecessary government forms, get more funding for additional staff and provide assistance for senior homes that require rebuilding.

Copies of the petition are available at the hospital or by going to the website.
