Halloween frolics and a couple of years of hard work means the Massey splash pad project is finally coming to fruition.
Sables-Spanish Rivers Township recreation manager, Brady Ropp (ROPE) says they are hoping to break ground in the Spring of 2019 if all funding avenues fall into place.
Ropp says the Massey splash pad is to be located at the Massey Memorial Park.
The Haunted Trail at Chute’s Park, a major fundraiser for the park, attracted 1,390 visitors, adding up to thousands of dollars for the project, although the final figure has yet to be released.
Ropp adds it was also the first year the trail was located in the park and it turned out to be a fantastic success with over 50 volunteers assisting in the fundraiser over the last two weekends.
