November has been designated Radon Awareness Month by Health Canada and The Canadian Lung Association.

Radon Measurement Specialist, Luc Lance, says he will be giving a free presentation about radon gas levels in Elliot Lake, Espanola and surrounding area and also the remedial work that has been done to reduce the radon in homes.

The presentation will take place on Saturday, November 17th from 1:00pm to 3:00pm at the Elliot Lake Public Library Resource Centre in the Pearson Plaza.

Lance adds the Canadian Lung Association emphasizes the need for testing homes to reduce the risk of lung cancer.

The public is invited to attend.

The free presentation is entitled “Radon Gas Testing and Mitigation”.
